Concept design and master planning for 12,000m2 pharmaceutical factory buildings in an industrial park. Separate facilities for liquids and injectables face each other across an interior street. The structure optimizes the the clients’ process layout and allows freedom in positioning palette racking systems. Their identical framing systems use pre engineered metal buildings (PEB) building envelope details to reduce design conditions for increased reliability, shortened fabrication time and construction time for speedier delivery and reduced site disturbance.
The building orientation provides protection from low angle sun and heat gain for people spaces. Metal panel sheathing in the dark green corporate color alternates with a light accent that is all dark on the outside facades, and blends to all light on the inside facades to help increase the ambient light level throughout the day. Panels are maximized to full 12m lengths to minimize waste. Distinguishing the truck docks with red allows them to be quickly identified.
