Seattle, WA

Project design, management, and construction administration for a dot com headquarters in Seattle's historic Provident Building in Pioneer square. This dot com company’s technology needs and culture were addressed early in the design process with a series of charettes with key staff.

The design is a game of compare and contrast with the existing building construction of bearing concrete with heavy timber framing. The new insertions are crisp and white, with anodized aluminum storefronts filled with narrow ribbed glass to contrast with the heavy and rough character of the existing concrete and timber shell, which were sandblasted and retained as finished surface.
