Responsible for developing concepts for this 1-2million sf prototype development onsite at IKEA's headquarters in Moscow, and helping to maintain our client relationship. Additional site plan strategies were done for Moscow, St. Petersburg and E. Katerinaburg, Russia. This IKEA concept combines a traditional retail mall with a lifestyle format and family entertainment. The first center opened in Khimki in 2004, offering a mix of tenants and activities, including a central ice-skating rink.

Andre worked overseas within IKEA/Russia headquarters in Moscow for 2-3 week periods over 1-1/2 years. Duties included concept design, site visits and building siting evaluation, interface between IKEA Property and IKEA Retail divisions, representation of IKEA to local architects and city officials.
